Unjustified player kills count toward Red Skull and are tracked separately from your total kills. Reach 40 unjustified frags and you get Red Skull. Check your count in-game with !frags.
Skulls:
- White skull — you attacked a player who did not have a skull (and was not already fighting you).
- Yellow skull — fight back. See the section below.
- Red skull — you have 40 or more unjustified frags.
Fight back (yellow skull):
- If you have no skull and you hit a player who already has a skull (white/red/black), you are marked as fighting back.
- That player sees you with a yellow skull. You do not get a white skull for defending yourself.
- If that skulled player kills you, the kill is justified — they do not get a Red Skull frag.
- The fight-back mark lasts for the duration of the fight (until infight ends). After that the yellow skull disappears.
- If you then attack someone without a skull, you get a normal white skull and you are no longer only fighting back.
When a kill is unjustified:
- Killing a player without a white/red/black skull, who is not fighting you back, adds +1 Red Skull frag.
- Only the last hit (final killer) gets that unjustified Red Skull frag. Other players who damaged the victim get a normal frag (total kills only) — not unjustified and not justified.
When a kill is justified (no Red Skull frag):
- The victim has a white, red, or black skull.
- Fight back: you kill a player who was defending against your skull (you see them yellow). No Red Skull frag.
- The victim is the Nukenin.
- The kill happens during an official or custom guild war.
- The Otsutsuki Castle portal is open (Red Skull frags are paused server-wide until it closes).
Frag decay:
- Unjustified frags drop by 1 every 3 hours.
- The timer also runs while you are offline.
- When your count falls below 40, Red Skull is removed.
Red Skull death:
- On death at level 100+, each equipped slot (head, necklace, backpack, armor, weapons, legs, feet, ring, ammo) has a 20% chance to drop.
- Blessing and talisman do not protect you on Red Skull.
- Below level 100, equipment does not drop from death.
- Without Red Skull, blessing/talisman work as usual against normal death loss.
PvP off:
- With PvP turned off you cannot attack unmarked players, including with area skills.
- You can still fight players who already have a skull.
